Tariff, Terms and Conditions

Minimum Daily Tariff:

The daily minimum tariff is set by the Royal Government of Bhutan that covers the following services:

  • All transfers and sightseeing within Bhutan (excludes domestic flight)
  • Accommodation on twin sharing basis (Standard hotel: 3*) .
  • All meals (Buffet)
  • Licensed and English speaking guide
  • All entrance fees for museums and heritage sites
  • It also includesAll internal taxes and charges. A sustainable tourism royalty of $65. This royalty goes towards free education, free healthcare, poverty alleviation, along with the building of infrastructure.

* ** NOT APPLICABLE  to India, Bangladesh and Maldives.

The minimum daily tariff for tourists travelling in a group of 3 person or more is as follows:
USD $200 per person per night for the months of December, January, February, June, July and August

USD $250 per person per night for the months of March, April, May, September, October and November.

*These rates are applicable per tourist per night

On the day of departure, the ‘local agents’ host obligation shall be limited to providing breakfast only and any extra requirements shall be payable on usage basis.

The list of hotels and lodges approved to provide accommodations all listed on this website. If your accommodation is not listed on this website then it is not licensed to cater to the international tourists.

The Royal Government of Bhutan sets minimum selling prices for packages to Bhutan. These must be paid in US dollars prior to arrival in Bhutan through electronic transfer.

Individual tourists and smaller groups of less than three persons are subject to FIT Surcharge, over and above the minimum daily tariff:

01 Pax = US $40 per person per night
02 pax = US $30 per person per night

03 or more pax = No FIT Surcharge

Visa Fee of US $40 per person will be applicable as one time payment

Tourism Development Fee (TDF) of US $ 10 per person will be applicable as one time payment

Terms and Conditions for Standard Tour Packages:

Cancellation Charges:

Tour programs booked and subsequently cancelled shall be subject to cancellation charges as follows:

  • For cancellations received on or before 45 days prior to date of arrival – full refund.
  • For cancellation received less than 45 days from the date of arrival – 50%
  • For cancellation received less than 30 days/no shows/early departures / after arrival in Bhutan – 100%

Note: All cancellations have to be sent in written (fax / email) before the stipulated time.

Payment Procedure:

All tour payments must be made in advance (at least 30 days prior to arrival date in Bhutan). Tour payment should be remitted through the Bhutan National Bank (BNB) accounts abroad payable in favor of Adbhuta Bhutan Adventure. The Banks and account numbers will be advised once the tour bookings are confirmed. Visa is cleared by the government subject to advance payment only.

Reservation Policy:

  •  All reservations have to be sent in written, fax or email. Bookings will be received for all dates irrespective of high season or low season at any time of the year.
  • For all Festival Dates, the bookings have to be sent or confirmed on or before 100 days prior to the date of arrival in Bhutan.
  • Non confirmation of the bookings without any notice after 100 days will be treated as cancelled and the reservations will be released to avoid cancellation charges from the hotels.
  • Any bookings received / reinstated after 100 days period will be accepted depending upon the availability of Drukair / Bhutan Airlines seats and hotels.
